Welcome
Longmeadow Soccer Association is a group of parent volunteers who
enjoy the game of soccer almost as much as we enjoy seeing our kids
playing and having fun. The In-Town
program serves all boys and girls from Kindergarten through 8th grade
who sign up to play.
The Travel program serves boys and girls
from age 9 through 13, with teams chosen from players who attend our
spring evaluation.
Our philosophy promotes teamwork, skills
development, fun and fitness without a focus on winning. Players from
Kindergarten through 8th grade need to develop personal and team
skills before beginning competitive play.
From the LSA By-Laws:
The purpose of this Association shall be to develop, promote and
administer the game of soccer among players within the town of
Longmeadow. It shall do so by providing a positive athletic
experience, teaching cooperation and team work, and improving
the individual skills of the players.
LSA is a member of the
Pioneer Valley Junior Soccer League and
Mass Youth Soccer.

West Nile Virus Warning
Longmeadow Parks and Recreation has received a warning from the Massachusetts
Department of Public Health about West Nile Virus and the mosquitos that
carry the disease. Please read the
LPRD West Nile Memo and the
MDPH Outdoor Activity Advisory,
and take precautions against mosquito bites.
Field Hockey Goals
The field hockey coaches have asked us to be sure we leave their goals in place.
They are heavy and not easily moved back into place by one coach and a team
of young players. The soccer fields should soon be marked and have goals for
us to use for practice.
